🪙 Footium Currency (FC)

Footium Currency, usually called FC, is Footium’s in-game currency for club development. It is tied to your club, cannot be traded or sold, and cannot be used outside Footium. You earn it through gameplay or purchase it through the store, then spend it on long-term improvements such as stadium stands and academy facilities.

Because FC belongs to the club, it moves with the club if the club is sold. This is similar to coaching sessions, which are also permanently attached to the club that purchased them.

How FC is earned

There are four main ways to earn FC.

1. Home matches

Every home match generates FC based on stadium capacity, match result and division. The formula is:

FC Earned = Stadium Capacity × Result Multiplier × Division Multiplier

Capacity is the baseline. A bigger stadium means more potential FC from each home match. Result also matters: wins earn a bonus, draws are the baseline and losses earn less. Division matters too, with higher divisions having stronger earning multipliers. This means staying up and climbing the pyramid can be financially valuable.

A season has 22 matches, and each club plays 11 home matches. Those 11 home fixtures can become a major part of your FC income, especially as your stadium grows.

Important: if your club fields an ineligible team for a home match, such as a missing player slot or a suspended or injured player in the line-up, you will not earn FC from that match. Always check your tactics before kick-off.

2. End-of-season league rewards

FC is distributed at the end of each season based on division and final league position. The Season 22 end-of-season division rewards increased from 8,000,000 FC to 10,000,000 FC per division. Higher divisions receive significantly larger reward pools, and finishing higher earns a larger share.

The system is designed so that competing in higher divisions remains attractive. A mid-table finish in a higher division should be financially better than winning a lower one, which discourages deliberate dropping and rewards clubs that fight to stay up. In Divisions 7 and 8, only the top six positions receive end-of-season FC rewards.

3. Other sources

FC can also be earned through competitions, community events, quizzes and other systems across the game. These vary, so keep an eye on Discord, X and season announcements.

4. Daily FC claim

There is free FC available on your homepage every day. Log in, claim it and repeat. It is not a huge amount on its own, but over a season it can contribute towards a stand upgrade or academy facility level.

Purchasing FC

FC packages are available in the store. This lets managers accelerate development while keeping FC earnable through regular play. Package sizes and discounts can change, so always check the store for current options.

What FC is spent on

FC is mainly used for club development. Stadium upgrades are one major use. You upgrade stands one at a time, with long side stands costing more than short side stands because they add more capacity. Stadium maintenance is also paid in FC when required.

Academy facilities are another use. Each academy has eight facilities, from Training Pitches to the International Scouting Network, and each facility can be upgraded from Level 0 to Level 5. These upgrades improve the quality, size, control or identity of your academy intake depending on the facility.

Good FC habits

Do not spend every FC as soon as you earn it. Bigger stadiums and higher-level facilities can create maintenance responsibilities, so keep a buffer. Prioritise upgrades that match your club plan: stadium capacity for FC income and home performance, academy facilities for long-term player development, or targeted improvements based on squad needs.

FC is a progression currency. Used well, it turns daily management into long-term club growth.
